Freed Hamas hostage: ‘I went through hell’

We went through hell – 85-year-old Yocheved Lifshitz told reporters – as she described the moment she and other hostages were seized by Hamas – hit with sticks and forced to walk several miles on wet ground to an underground network of tunnels.

Ms Lifshitz, whose husband is among more than 200 hostages still being held inside Gaza, said her treatment then improved and she was given medical care.
