His theatrical, form-fitting designs were the epitome of power dressing in the 1980s – the world of fashion has paid tribute to the French designer Thierry Mugler, who has died at the age of 73.
Known for his big-shouldered, body-conscious looks, he dressed a host of celebrities from Lady Gaga and David Bowie to Beyonce and Kim Kardashian.
His fashion house described him as a visionary, who had “empowered people around the world to be bolder and dream bigger every day”.
