French mass rape trial: Gisèle Pelicot takes the stand

The woman at the centre of a French rape trial that’s shocked the world has stood up in court to address her former husband, who drugged her and invited dozens of men to rape her.

Some of those accused men deny it. Gisele Pelicot asked for the trial to be held in open court, instead of behind closed doors, saying she wanted to lift the shame felt by victims.
