Fruit and veg shortage: what has caused it and how long will it last?

Aldi and Tesco have joined Asda and Morrisons in limiting customers on certain fresh fruit and veg in response to shortages of supply.

Tesco warned that customers won’t be allowed to buy more than three packs of peppers, cucumbers or tomatoes, describing it as a ‘precautionary measure’.
