Gaza: UN top court orders Israel to unblock food aid

Syria has blamed Israel for air strikes near Aleppo which are reported to have killed more than 30 Syrian soldiers and several Hezbollah fighters.

Hours later, Israel’s military said it had killed the deputy commander of Hezbollah’s rocket and missiles unit in a strike in Lebanon. It’s also kept up its bombardment of Gaza, killing 71 Palestinians in 24 hours.

But there’s no sign of it opening more land crossings into Gaza for food, water and other supplies – despite an order by the UN’s top court.
