George Floyd: Police chief testifies force used during arrest was direct violation of conduct

In America it’s the seventh day of the murder trial of the former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin who is accused of killing George Floyd last summer.

His death sparked the Black Lives Matter protests around the world. Today a police chief has testified that the force used during Mr Floyd’s arrest was a “direct violation” of police conduct.
