Georgia protests: violent clashes ahead of ‘Russia bill’ vote

Foreign Affairs Correspondent

Crowds of protestors have gathered again in the Georgian capital Tbilisi after police broke up a demonstration outside the parliament building.

The protests have brought tens of thousands of people onto the streets in an attempt to stop MPs passing a controversial ‘foreign agents’ law, which they say mirrors a law used by Russia’s President Putin to crack down on opponents and stifle freedom of speech.

It has led to violent clashes in the city.
