Ghislaine Maxwell trial: Defence starts to set out case

In New York, Ghislaine Maxwell’s defence team have begun presenting their case.

She faces charges of recruiting and trafficking young women and girls for the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

We spoke to the Miami Herald Reporter, Julie K Brown, whose reporting helped expose the crimes of Mr Epstein.

She was in court and described the defence’s approach.
