Girlhood Unfiltered: Essay collection celebrates Black girls’ voices

A new collection of essays called Girlhood Unfiltered has given a voice to Black teenage girls who say they don’t often get to share their experiences.

With contributions from 20 teenage girls across south London, the collection celebrates the joy in their lives as well as delving into the more challenging realities around racism within the education system and youth violence.

We went to meet some of the young authors.
