Government announces £2 billion package to boost cycling and walking

If social distancing is observed, the Transport Secretary said today public transport in England would only have sufficient space for one in ten of the usual passengers.

Grant Shapps announced a major focus on increasing the number of people cycling and walking. There’ll be more pop-up bike lanes, wider pavements and streets where cars are banned.
