Government considers reforming gender identity rules

News Correspondent

Adults could be legally allowed to change their gender without a medical diagnosis and without having to live for two years as their desired gender. But critics have warned that the move will face legal challenges over access to women-only hospital wards, prisons, changing rooms and lavatories.
