Government has ‘full confidence’ in Ofqual after exam grades U-turn

Education Secretary Gavin Williamson has now backed England’s exams regulator Ofqual, having previously pointed the finger at the regulator for the A-levels algorithm mess.

The Department for Education said today that “they had full confidence in Ofqual and its leadership”.
