Govt SEND funding boost still billions short says Tory MP with affected family

The Education Secretary has admitted that parents whose children have special educational needs are having to “fight to get the right support” for them.

Gillian Keegan says the government has a plan to create 60 thousand more school places and struggling councils will get an 850 million pound cash boost.

But even former Conservative cabinet minister David Davis says that’s nowhere near enough to tackle a crisis that’s left his own family in great distress.
