Grenfell firms knew cladding would fail, inquiry told

Firms that revamped Grenfell Tower predicted that the new cladding system would fail –  more than two years before the fire which killed 72 people.

Emails from March 2015 disclosed to the Grenfell inquiry show that some companies were aware that the external cladding would burn and fall off if exposed to flames.
