Greta Thunberg sets sail from UK to attend New York and Chile climate summits

The teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg has set sail from Plymouth on board an eco-friendly yacht, bound for UN summits on global warming in New York and Chile.

She admits the voyage will be a ‘huge challenge’. The 16-year-old will make the two-week trip across the Atlantic on a zero-carbon racing yacht, which has no kitchen and the toilet? Well, it’s a bucket.
