Half a million people starving in Gaza, with no functioning hospitals left in the north

The UN says more than 570,000 people are now starving in Gaza because of the war, and the entire 2.3 million population is facing crisis levels of hunger.

There are no functioning hospitals left in northern Gaza.

The World Health Organisation says the last one, Al-Ahli, is a “shell of a hospital”.

And the fighting rages on, with Israel bombing the north and south, and Hamas firing more missiles at Tel Aviv – even as the two sides hold talks on a new truce.
