Hamas attacks ‘outcome of the arrogance’ of Netanyahu government, says former Israeli PM

The unprecedented attack by Hamas has badly shaken Israelis’ faith in their military and intelligence service. Many are blaming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Among them, one of his predecessors, Ehud Olmert, who led the country during its 22-day war on Gaza in late 2008.

He told us that the failure to see the assault coming was down to the arrogance of the current government.
