A dispute over the release of a second group of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners has been resolved after mediation by Egypt and Qatar.
Following the joy of yesterday’s first releases, there had been doubt that 13 more Israeli hostages and 39 Palestinian prisoners would be exchanged today.
Hamas – which is a proscribed terrorist group in the UK – had said it would be delaying the release due to issues over the delivery of aid to Northern Gaza.
