Hearing into alleged Russian interference in US election

In the United States the Senate began hearings in their inquiry into alleged Russian interference in last year’s presidential election is underway.

Both the Republican and Democrat leaders of the panel have vowed a thorough inquiry into claims that Russia may have used technology to spread disinformation in America and generated fake news outlets targeting voters in key states, such as Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
