Home Office broke equality law over treatment of Windrush generation, watchdog says

The Home Office broke equality law in the way it treated the Windrush generation, according to the equalities watchdog.

It said today that the negative impacts of the government’s “hostile environment” policy were repeatedly ignored, and concerns were dismissed.
