Home Office expands scheme for Ukraine refugees

With the UN estimating up to four million people are set to flee the violence in Ukraine, pressure has been mounting on the UK government to adopt a more generous refugee policy.

Today, following criticism from MPs, the Home Office scheme for Ukrainians was extended, with the prime minister now claiming hundreds of thousands would be able to come to the UK.
