Hong Kong protestors clash with police after tens of thousands defy march ban

They had been banned from marching this weekend. But pro-democracy demonstrators in Hong Kong were not deterred, taking to the streets once again.

Protesters attacked the main government building and  fought running battles with the police, who used tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannon in an attempt to disperse the crowds.
