Pro-democracy supporters attempt to storm Hong Kong’s Legislative Council after bailiffs turned up to help with the government’s “removal strategy”.
Masked protesters were pictured removing barricades from the “LegCo” building’s entrance, in a bid to fight article 23 of the country’s basic constitution.
According to the document, the Hong Kong special administrative region can enact laws on its own to prohibit any act of treason, political organisation with foreign ties, as well as sedition.
The demonstrators struck camp in the area 52 days ago, erecting tents, among other amenities in the area.
Police attempted to push back the crowd, as chaos ensued.
