Hong Kong’s pro-democracy activist Jimmy Lai’s biggest trial yet

The leading pro-democracy activist Jimmy Lai has gone on trial in Hong Kong – accused of sedition and colluding with foreign forces to endanger national security.

The 76 year old media tycoon was arrested three years ago under China’s sweeping security laws – and denies all the charges. He faces life in prison if convicted.
