How Niger’s coup has put thousands of migrants at risk

In the central Saharan region of Africa – agreements to limit numbers heading north are breaking down.

A co-operation arrangement between European countries made with the former civilian Government of Niger is now being disrupted by the military coup there.

This is throwing the fates of thousands of migrants into doubt.
