Huawei employee arrested in Poland on spying allegations

Counter-espionage officers in Poland have arrested a Chinese manager working for the tech giant Huawei, and a former Polish intelligence officer who had also worked at the mobile phone company Orange.

The offices of both companies were also searched, with security agents seizing documents and electronic data.

Both men are said to have denied any wrongdoing, but many western countries are beginning to think again about using Huawei’s telecoms equipment because of security concerns.
