Huge containers block aid from getting in to Venezuela amid crisis

Huge containers are blockading a bridge linking Venezuela’s border with Colombia to stop humanitarian aid from coming in.

Growing numbers of Venezuelans are in desperate need of food and other essential supplies, but President Maduro is resisting pressure to allow in aid shipments organised by the USA.

The EU and several Latin American countries are meeting in Montevideo to try to defuse the crisis.
