Humza Yousaf will not suspend Nicola Sturgeon from SNP

Scotland’s First Minister Humza Yousaf said he will not be suspending Nicola Sturgeon from the SNP, insisting there was “no pressure” on his predecessor to quit the party following her arrest yesterday.

Ms Sturgeon was released without charge after seven hours of questioning by detectives investigating the SNP’s finances – with Mr Yousaf seemingly reluctant to cut loose the woman whose legacy he pledged to maintain as leader.
