Rishi Sunak has defended his decision to alter the government’s pledges to combat climate change.

The Prime Minister has been widely criticised for delaying the ban on new petrol and diesel cars and for scrapping policies to upgrade energy efficiency in homes.

But Rishi Sunak has insisted we will get to net zero by 2050. Earlier we spoke to Chris Stark, Chief Executive of the UK Climate Change Committee, the government’s independent climate advisors – we asked him if that’s realistic.
