India to restart AstraZeneca vaccine exports if domestic Covid cases fall

So what about developing countries which are desperate to rollout any vaccines – but are still struggling for supplies? Much of the AstraZeneca vaccine is actually manufactured in India, which is experiencing a record surge in infections. Exports were suspended last month to cope with this domestic crisis.

Today, India’s Serum Institute, the biggest vaccine factory in the world, warned that its jabs would only fly abroad again in June if domestic cases start falling.
