Infected blood scandal victims to receive life-long compensation

Victims of the infected blood scandal will begin getting life-long compensation payments later this year – with more than £2 million for those who’ve been the most badly affected.

The Government promised that others including bereaved relatives will begin getting their compensation next year.

Tens of thousands of people contracted HIV and Hepatitis C from contaminated blood products during the 1970s and 80s.
