Inquest considers whether air pollutants contributed to nine-year-old Ella Kissi-Debrah’s death

At nine years old, Ella Kissi-Debrah died from a severe asthma attack. She lived just yards from one of London’s busiest roads.

A new inquest has been hearing whether high levels of pollution triggered her final attack. Ella had endured 30 hospital visits and numerous seizures over the preceding three years.
