One of the biggest upsets of the night was in Somerset, where the former Brexit minister Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg lost his seat in what was immediately dubbed ‘Mogg-xit’.
The former MP said farewell in typical style with a quote from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
