IPCC report: Scientists say ‘now or never’ to stave off climate disaster

It’s now or never – that’s the stark warning from the world’s leading climate scientists as the latest report from the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was published.

Carbon dioxide emissions rose last year by the highest amount ever recorded – despite the rapidly closing window to avert a climate catastrophe.

But today’s report does offer some hope that the world has the tools and technology to make rapid change but it has to start now.
