Iran executes first protester involved in anti-government demonstrations

Iran has said it has carried out the first execution of a protester for being involved in the anti-regime demonstrations that first erupted in September.

23-year-old Mohsen Shekari was found guilty of “enmity against God”.

He was accused of taking part in a riot and using a machete to wound a member of the paramilitary force that controls demonstrations.
