Irish foreign minister rushed away from Belfast event

Ireland’s foreign affairs minister has been hastily rushed off stage by police at an event in Belfast after a van was hijacked and driven to the venue.

Simon Coveney was forced to interrupt his speech at the peacebuilding event on the Crumlin Road.

A controlled explosion was carried out at the scene.
