Irish government ‘alarmed’ over reports of NI soldiers’ future prosecutions ban

The Irish government says it’s “deeply alarmed” at reports that Britain could stop any future prosecutions over crimes committed by soldiers in Northern Ireland.

The leaked proposal would apply to former members of the security forces and possibly paramilitaries too, but many victims believe they would be denied justice.
