Is a Labour-Conservative Brexit compromise possible?

As both major parties lick their wounds after the local elections – there are plenty of Labour figures in pro-Brexit areas claiming the party has been punished for trying to obstruct a Brexit deal.

Talks are still going on between Labour and government ministers aimed at reaching a compromise – with both Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn declaring they wanted to agree. The impasse just could be unblocked by a deal over a customs union – but how many of their own MPs could each leader rally behind it?
