Is America’s economy ‘great again’?

When President Trump was elected, he pledged to fire up the US economy and bring back working-class jobs.

And of course he never misses a chance to boast about how far he’s delivered on his promise.

For many voters in the area round the Great Lakes, known as the Rust Belt, it’s the difference between having food on the table or not – and in 2020 they could turn out to be the judges of whether America really is “great again”.

We report from the town of Altoona, in the swing state of Pennsylvania.
