In an exclusive interview, one of the UK’s leading forensic scientists has questioned the quality of CCTV facial comparison used in criminal convictions.
Speaking to this programme the former forensic regulator Professor Gillian Tully has questioned the quality of facial comparison and warned there was a risk of miscarriages of justice.
This programme has also heard from the parents of a young man convicted with the help of CCTV evidence and jailed for 18 years.
His parents insist it’s a case of mistaken identity.
