Is government doing enough to tackle cladding crisis?

The government has warned landlords in England who fail to fix dangerous cladding that they face big fines – or even jail.

Seven years after the Grenfell fire,  ministers have now set a deadline of 2029 for buildings to be fixed or have a date for repairs to be completed.

But campaigners say the plans are not the comprehensive solution Labour proposed in opposition.
