A fortnight ago Donald Trump was on top of the world. Up in the polls against a besieged Joe Biden, he soaked up rapturous applause at the Republican National Convention and called for unity in America.
What a difference two weeks makes.
With Biden out of the race, his presumptive replacement Kamala Harris has been dominating the airwaves and attention. Maybe that’s why Mr Trump has chosen to question her ethnicity, prompting Democrat outrage and dominating the headlines again.
