Israel-Gaza: Deadly Syria airstrike heightens Middle-East tensions while fighting continues in Gaza

Five senior members of Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard have been killed in an airstrike in the Syrian capital Damascus.

Iranian and Syrian officials claimed Israel was behind the attack, which levelled a four storey building – although Israel hasn’t confirmed or denied it.

It’s all added to the rising tension in the region, with no let up in the fighting in Gaza.
