Israel Gaza war: school hit and 12 killed in Israeli airstrike

Israel has bombed a school in Gaza City that was sheltering displaced families, killing at least 12 people.

Another strike hit a market area in central Deir Al-Balah, killing nine Palestinians.

The Israeli army said it recovered the bodies of six hostages overnight.

But the nephew of one of them has blamed the government for ‘torpedoing’ opportunities to sign a ceasefire deal with Hamas to bring them back alive.
