Israel reportedly boycotts Gaza ceasefire talks

Israel has reportedly boycotted ceasefire talks due to take place in Cairo today, because Hamas refuses to confirm which of its hostages are still alive.

It leaves hopes of a truce before Ramadan hanging in the balance.

The US said yesterday that Israel had already agreed to a framework deal, which includes ramping up aid. And it can’t come soon enough, with 15 children dying of malnutrition and dehydration in just one Gaza City hospital – as air strikes claim more lives in the south.
