Two more freed hostages are on their way back to Israel – amid hopes that the truce in Gaza will be extended. Around 161 people are still thought to be held captive by Hamas, which the UK designates as a proscribed terrorist organisation.

Violence also flared today in the occupied West Bank as Israeli forces carried out a raid: the Palestinian Authority said two children had been killed in the gunfire. The UN says 232 Palestinians, including 61 children, have been killed in the West Bank since October 7th.
