Italian doctor on how virus ‘exploded’, having coronavirus & how to fight it

We spoke to Silvia Bignamini, health director for a hospital in the city of Bergamo, in the north of Italy, the epicentre of the outbreak in that country, where the number of deaths rose by 546 in the last 24 hours – the highest daily increase there since the outbreak began.

We asked her how bad things have become in her area.
