Jamie Oliver restaurant chains in administration

All but three of Jamie Oliver’s UK restaurants are to close after his chain went into administration.

A thousand jobs are at risk at the 22 Jamie’s Italian outlets, plus his Fifteen and Barbecoa restaurants.

The celebrity chef had helped save the chain from bankruptcy last year by ploughing in a reported £13m of his own money.

He said he was “devastated” at today’s news.
