Johnson calls Russia ‘malign and disruptive force’

Boris Johnson told the Commons today that he is not pointing fingers, but warned that Britain will respond “robustly” if evidence of state responsibility for the Salisbury incident emerges.

And in a sign of the strained relations with Moscow, the Foreign Secretary took the extraordinary step of describing Russia as a “malign and disruptive force”.

For their part, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry dismissed Mr Johnson’s comments as “wild”.
