Johnson pledges £700m for nuclear expansion

Boris Johnson has pledged another £700 million towards building the Sizewell C nuclear plant, saying it would be “absolute madness” not to go ahead with it.

But although the Prime Minister is touting nuclear as one answer to soaring energy bills, it will be up to his successor to deal with the immediate crisis facing households.
